Group ACYW135 meningococcal polysaccharide&nbsp;vaccine is a preparation of purified capsular polysaccharide antigens extracted from the cultures of <i>Neisseria meningitidis </i>group A, C, Y, W135 respectively and lyophilized after addition of an appropriate stabilizer. It is used to prevent epidemic cerebrospinal meningitis caused by <i>Neisseria </i><i>m</i><i>eningitidis</i>&nbsp;group A, C, Y and W135.

<span>The final product looks like a white crisp cake. It shall dissolve in the accompanying Phosphate buffered saline (PBS) immediately, and turn into a clear liquid after reconstitution.<br />
Active constituent: Neisseria meningitidis group ACYW135 capsular polysaccharides.<br />
Subsidiary materials: All the components of subsidiary materials approved shall be listed.<br />
Vaccine diluent: Sterile, pyrogen-free PBS.<br />

0.5 ml of reconstituted vaccine per container. 0.5 ml per single human dose, containing &nbsp;200μg of meningococcal polysaccharide (50μg of each polysaccharide of group A,C,Y,W135).<br />

<b>[</b><b>Administration and dosage]</b><b></b>
</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">
(1) Reconstitute the vaccine with the accompanying PBS as the stated value. Shake and inject&nbsp;immediately.
</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">
(2) The vaccine shall be injected s. c. at deltoid&nbsp;insertion area of the lateral upper arm.
</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">
(3) One single human dose of 0.5 ml vaccine is&nbsp;required. The immunization shall be carried out&nbsp;before the epidemic season of epidemic cerebrospinal&nbsp;meningitis.
</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">
<b>[</b><b>Adverse reactions]</b><b></b>
</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">
Common adverse reactions:
</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">
(1) Pain, tenderness, mild or moderate erythema,&nbsp;swelling and infiltration at the injection site within 24&nbsp;hours after Vaccination, which Can subside spontaneously&nbsp;within 2-3 days in most cases.
</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">
(2) Transient fever may occur after vaccination,&nbsp;most of which are mild, can be relieved spontaneously within l-2 days, and need no particular&nbsp;treatment. The recipients with moderate fever or&nbsp;the fever lasting for more than 48 hours may&nbsp;receive symptomatic treatment.

<p class="MsoNormal">
Rare adverse reactions:
</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">
(1) Severe fever: Symptomatic treatment shall be given to prevent febrile convulsion.
</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">
(2) Serious erythema and, swelling at the injection site or other complications: symptomatic&nbsp;treatment shall be given.
</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">
Extremely&nbsp;rare adverse reactions:
</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">
(1) Allergic rash: Rash may occur with 72 hours&nbsp;after vaccination. Antianaphylactic treatment should&nbsp;be given to the recipients with rash promptly.
</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">
(2) Anaphylactic shock: Anaphylactic shock may&nbsp;occur within one hour after vaccination. &nbsp;Emergency&nbsp;treatment including injection with adrenaline shall&nbsp;be given promptly.
</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">
(3) Allergic purpura: Antianaphylactic treatment&nbsp;with corticosteroid should be given to the&nbsp;recipients with allergic purpura. Give anti-allergic&nbsp;treatment with cortical steroids. If the treatment&nbsp;is inappropriate or delayed, &nbsp;purpura nephritis may&nbsp;be complicated.
</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">
(4) Angioneurotic edema and allergic neuritis may&nbsp;occur occasionally.
</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">
(5) Allergic exfoliative dermatitis cases have been&nbsp;reported occasionally.
</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">
[Contraindications]
</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">
(1) Subjects with known allergic reactions to any&nbsp;component of the vaccine.
</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">
(2) Subjects with acute diseases, severe chronic&nbsp;diseases, chronic diseases at stage of acute attack&nbsp;or fever.
</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">
(3) Subjects with encephalopathy, uncontrolled&nbsp;epilepsy, &nbsp;and other progressive diseases of nervous&nbsp;system.
</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">
[Precautions]
</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">
(1) The vaccine should be administered with caution to the subjects with family or individual history&nbsp;of convulsion or those with chronic diseases,&nbsp;history of epilepsy, &nbsp;allergic diathesis or nursing&nbsp;women.
</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">
(2) Do not use the vaccine if the container shows&nbsp;abnormalities, such as crack, illegible label, and&nbsp;turbidity after reconstitution
</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">
(3) Adrenaline should be available for first aid in&nbsp;case of severe anaphylactic reactions. The recipients shall be observed for at least 30 minutes on&nbsp;site after injection.
</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">
(4) Freezing of vaccine is forbidden.
</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">
