GLA, omega 6,extracted from borage seed oil, evening primrose oil, etc, is widely used in medical products, cosmetics,etc. We can produce 40%-80% purity GLA,even higher. Gamma-linolenic acid or GLA (γ-Linolenic acid),( 71384,INN and USAN gamolenic acid) is a fatty acid found primarily in vegetable oils. When acting on GLA, Arachidonate 5-lipoxygenase produces no leukotrienes and the conversion by the enzyme of arachidonic acid to leukotrienes is inhibited.
