Florfenicol


Description:  
Florfenicol is a synthetic broad-spectrum antibiotic effective against most Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria isolated from domestic animals.  It is Poultry Antibiotics. 
Florfenicol acts by inhibiting protein synthesis at the ribosomal level and is bacteriostatic. Laboratory tests have shown that florfenicol is active against the most commonly isolated bacterial pathogens involved in bovine respiratory disease which include Mannheimia haemolytica, Pasteurella multocida, Histophilus somni and Arcanobacterium pyogenes, and against the bacterial pathogens most commonly isolated in respiratory diseases in pigs, including Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae and Pasteurella multocida. It is Common Antibiotics Used In Livestock.


Indications:


For the treatment of bacterial disease caused by sensitive bacteria especially  
for the treatment of drug-resistant strains of bacteria induced disease. Florfenicol Veterinary Injection Treatment of Bacterial Disease is an 
effective substitute of chloramphenicol injection. Florfenicol Veterinary Injection Medicine is also used for the  
treatment of disease in livestock and fowl caused by pasteurella,pleuropneumonia actinomyceto,streptococcus, colibacillus, salmonella, pneumococcus, hemophilus, staphylococcus, 
mycoplasma, chlamydia, leptospira and rickettsia. It is Veterinary Drug of Injection, and Veterinary Antibiotic Drug.


Usage and dosage: 


Deep intramuscularly at a dose of 20mg/kg by animals such as horses, cattle, sheep,swine, chicken and ducks. A second dose should be administered 48 hours later.
