The principal component of this product is metformin hydrochloride. This product is white or almost white bursiform tablet.

The product can be used to treat non-insulin dependent diabetes (NIDD), which cannot be well controlled by diet and exercise singly. This drug can be administrated alone, and it also can be administrated together withsulphanylureas or insulin.

Take this drug orally during eating or after meal. At first, the usual dosage is one pill (0.5g) every time and once a day, and takes it in dinner. Adjust the dosage according to the blood sugar or urine glucose, but the maximal dose is four pills (2.0g) a day. If the dosage that, once a day for four pills each time, cannot get a satisfied curative effect, adjust the dosage into twice a day for two pills (1.0g) each time.
