Wish a history of 2000 years, Shu Brocade rose in Zhou Dynasty and flourished in Tang Dynasty. Thus, it has been widely considered as a milestone in the course of development of brocade.

Devoted to rejuvenating this traditional craftsmanship, ArtxyRun is engaged in the jobs of protection, inheritance and innovation of Shu brocade. On display in ArtxyRun are five precious platform jacquard looms of Qing dynasty and its products as well as great many art works. It involves two people to weave on the loom. One sits above and pulls up the warps to form the pattern, while the other below throws the shuttles across the warps to add color to the pattern. With their harmonious cooperation, the splendid and exquisite brocade appears.

Patterns manually woven on these looms are those unearthed in Dunhuang, Mingfeng, Yutian and so forth along the Silk Road.
