2. Specifications:
a) Material: Cold drawn CS Mechanical Spring Wire
Confirming to grade II of IS – 4454 (Part I) OR ASTM A227/A227M Class I
b) Product Analysis: % C = 0.45 -0.85%
% Si = 0.15 to 0.35%
% Mn = 0.6 to 1.30%
% S = 0.05 Max
% P = 0.04 Max
c) Tensile Strength: 283 KSI (Minimum)

d) Dia meter Tolerance: +/- 0.005 mm

e) Out of Round Tolerance: +/- 0.005 mm

f) Coating: Black Wire with Oiled Surface.

g) Surface Finish: Smooth and free from defects such as grooves,
seams, tears, rust, scale, scratches, pits, die, marks
and any other harmful defects which may have a
noticeable adverse effect on the applications of wire
h) Test Certificate Required: Tensile, Torsion test, Bend test and Product Analysis.

i) Form of Supply: Wire to be supplied in steel spools.

j) Weight of wire/coil: 25 Kg on each spool.

k) Packing: The packing of the material to be done in such a way
that corrosion does not attack the material during transit
and no damage occurs in normal handling in transit.
